Hi! My name is Mo Schulte and I’m an independent musician born and raised in Portland, OR. I’ve been singing my whole life and started writing songs when I was 7 years old after hearing a Taylor Swift song for the first time. In 2020, I began learning music production and self-produced my debut album “Not To Be Dramatic But…” There were glaring mixing problems and it was basically unlistenable, but I continued to produce my own music and with every release they became increasingly more listenable, including songs that I am still very proud of such as Could’ve Been and Janey’s Gay.
I started performing regularly in 2023, playing at open mics around town, and found myself at The Atlantis Underground. It was in that room that I really found my community and fell further in love with music. In the last 3 years, I’ve played countless shows around Portland, including some dream gigs like Portland's iconic Rose Festival.
I’m currently working with one of my closest friends, Joey Ten Eyck, co-producing an upcoming project that will be announced very soon. After 18 years of songwriting, I feel I’ve only scratched the surface of uncovering who I am as an artist. I am so excited for what’s to come and I can’t wait to share it with you.
